Gouda – 07-07-19

Gouda – 07-07-19 This is the fifth drawing of Gouda, a beautiful city in Zuid-Holland, Netherlands, not far from where I live. It is a depiction of the Sint-Janskerk from the Market (de Markt). I just love those edgy square cast shadows that block in beautiful abstract light planes and to complete it, I added an elephant. Every town needs an elephant I think and those rare dutch elephants keep wandering about. Be aware of them!
