This is a training set that we designed and implemented to assist hard surface artists and game developers wanting to move into the field of creating assets for use in mid poly applications - a more popular field now in game development as it means that there is less need to rely on Normal Mapping shaders for the majority of the detailing work (as long as the game engine and target hardware can handle the mid poly assets). Hard surface assets, thanks to their lack of deformation in games, are much more suited towards mid poly usage and frequently can have their lighting pre-baked in order to reduce overall use of processing time.
